The team at the Claycutters Arms is lead by proprietor Joanna Elgar.
The team of chefs in the kitchen is lead by Matthew Collins and all work very hard to provide their delicious homemade dishes using, as much as they can, produce from local farmers and suppliers. The majority of our food is homemade, from chutneys to biscuits, proper pastries, pies and puddings, organic beef burgers to our own Otter beer battered cod fillets.
The food can be described as being uncomplicated, classic, clean and fresh and it always manages to put a contemporary edge to more traditional dishes.
The beautiful home cooked and very stylish dishes and creative specials have impressed locals and new diners from far and wide at The Claycutters Arms and the new table menus available to view on this website.
With our suppliers delivering to us daily we can provide our customers with fantastic freshly baked breads from Thomas of Bovey, freshly picked fruit and veg from B.D.F in Bovey Tracey and a wonderful selection of meats from our butchers Gibbons. Our fresh fish and seafood suppliers include, S and J fisheries and fishes of Exeter who provide us daily with fresh fish and seafood of the highest quality.
